Story.......

All this happen so fast, in such a short amount of time. It was December 14, 2010 school had just ended and everyone was so happy it was a friday. I was waiting in front of the school for my bestfriend Kathy because she was coming over my house to work on the project we had for ceramics class.

As i walked towards the main door of the school i see Kathy putting away her books in her locker, talking to Rick. Rick was the class clown we had in our Algebra two class. She had just finished talking to him as i walked towards her. "Hurry up lets go!" chuckling as i said it. She just smailed back and walked a little faster towards me.

It was a long walk home. It was freezing cold outside and we took our time talking about how each others day was. When we got to my house we walked in and it was like heaven, warm and comfortable just how i liked it. Kathy went on to greet my parents who were in the kitchen washing dishes and making dinner. Kathy was almost like a sister to me because her parents divorced last summer so her dad was never around and her mother was busy all the time at work trying to keep there lives together by earning money for her family. So I treated Kathy like my sister because she would stay in my house most of the time.

I threw myself on the couch relieved to be home. Kathy grabbed the remote for the T.V. and turned it on. "Lets see what's good on the T.V. today" said Kathy as she flipped through the channels. "Most likely the usual like Spongebob and all those other cartoons they put on everyday" I said. "The news is different everyday do you want to see that?" she quickly replied.

Governor wants to leave?!

The background of the speech is that Sarah Palin is the governor of Alaska and wants to step down. Her argument is that she has reasons why she should no longer be the governor of Alaska. One of the reasons she wanted to leave was because she had done everything that was needed to do and now she has the permission to leave. She also says that the people of Alaska can take care of them selves and that they no longer need her anymore. After all, she says that she is the governor and that she has the rights to step down as governor if she pleases.

A phrase that Sarah Palin uses alot is I promised"I promised that we would manage our fish and our wildlife for abundance"(4-5). She has promised alot to the people like energy solutions, funding toward school education, and to protect their beautiful environment. Another word that she repeats is the word "we". That propaganda technique is Plain Folks because she is trying to be like the normal people. She says that we are all one together and that is what she is trying to emphasize with the word "we".

She promises alot to the people and says what she has acomplished but never really says why she is leaving. She never gets to the point of why she is leaving and stepping down as the govener. More than half of her speech was about how she promise the things to the people. She promised so much to the people but really much didn't change. Most of the promises she was talking about was maybe little changes in the place.
